Get to know PLA & PBAT!
PBAT and PLA are the main materials used to make biodegradable bags. Each offers unique properties that make the final product both eco-friendly and practical.
Polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT) provides excellent flexibility and extensibility, making the bags less prone to tearing during use. It also degrades quickly under industrial composting conditions, meeting ASTM D6400 and EN 13432 standards. Additionally, its high toughness ensures the bags have good tear resistance, suitable for carrying heavier items.
Polylactic Acid (PLA) is an eco-friendly, biodegradable plastic made from renewable resources. Sourced from plants like corn or sugarcane, it offers rigidity and strength, allowing the bags to maintain a good structure during molding. PLA also has good transparency, making it ideal for packaging bags that need to display their contents.
